I’m on Digitone Keys - I have LFOs set to “Trig Mode=FRE”, but the modulation isn’t actually free-running - it resets every time I play a note. That means I have to hit the note exactly on time or the modulation will be out of sync with the rhythm of the track.
I thought the point of FRE mode was that the LFO runs constantly, regardless of when/how notes are played. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Or do I have the wrong idea about how FRE mode is supposed to work?

Not sure if this would affect it but if you go to ‘Sound Setup’ (FUNC+Trig), what is ‘Play Mode’ set to?
If it’s ‘POLY M.LFO’ maybe that’s resetting the LFO phase.
Yep - that’s the setting I needed! Looks like DK defaults to POLY, which is like having a separate LFO for every note. I changed it to POLY M.LFO and that seems to be the behavior I expected. Per the manual, POLY M.LFO is handy “if you want to use the LFO for a tremolo effect” which is what I’m using it for.
