Hi peeps,

I’ve got pretty basic question, how to implement Overbridge into music production workflow?

Let’s say I’ve got one synth, 4 voices, but …

  1. how can I make a use of tracks 2-4 from OB? I’d like to sequence it from Live.

  2. What would be the best workflow if I want to use more then 1 sound/kit? As far as I’ve found, there is no possibility to link sound patch to the clip in Live… am I missing something?

With M4L Nord Lead plugin, I create 4 tracks with the plugin and put program change on the clip or automation and everything is seamless, I’d like to achieve the same thing here if possible.

Hi vitek,
when you work with the A4 and OB, just create one midi track with A4 ob and 4 other midi tracks, route their output to the OB A4 Track in live and the 4 sub-midi-channels of the plug-in. Then create 4 audio tracks in live, their input get the Audio out form OB A4 and the subaudiochannels form the plugin.

you can use a program change message sent as midi clip in Live to the A4.

its bang on sync wise with the a4 but ive had mixed results with the AR

havent tried the latest version of OB mind you

thanks guys! my bad, I am now able to send midi to different tracks via OB plugin,… not sure what I was doing wrong previously,…

Also I had program change receive option turned off, however I’d love to change the sounds too … When using Overbridge I’d rather sequence stuff form Ableton, … do you know if this is possible?

also how do you deal with automation when using multiple tracks?

It’s working with CC messages, but I am still hoping, there is something OB can offer …
