Good buddy for digitone? : )

greetings fellow elektronauts!!
im trying to find the best possible match to sequence through the digitone.
im considering an arturia microfreak, for the price and for the versatility but im wondering if there is anyone out there with a great matchup i have yet to consider.
im looking for something to make arps/lead synths as i find that 4 tracks is no longer enough .
im quite happy with the digitone as a pad/drone/drum/bass machine so i dont need the likes of that.
also , can i route the other synth through the digitone and add reverb, delay, chorus , gain to the sound?

Yeah microfreak or microbrute would both be nice. Own arps too which make up for lack of arp on digi midi channels.

And yeah I run my neutron through the audio in on the DN and it sounds lovely.

IK UNO is a really cheap way to add a nice sounding analog voice and they are really cheap…£150 in the UK.

Modal Skulpt is digital but sounds great and is poly…

‘‘Modal Electronics presents Skulpt, a 4 voice virtual analog synthesizer with 8 oscillators per voice, each with 2 selectable waveforms. Users can achieve FM and PWM, as well as apply ring modulation. Additionally, it features duophonic and polyphonic modes, as well as unison/spread for detuning all of its 32 oscillators and achieving a massive sound.’’

About ÂŁ250 UK

Wasnt too happy with the overall build quality of the UNO, On/Offswitch looks and behaves like it’ll break any second, ground humming, and such. It did sound quite nice, although.

Horses for courses and all that.

Uni is beyond bland, and is pretty shocking in terms of build quality.

What’s your budget?

I found the digitakt to be a fantastic partner for the DN.

0 Coast?
DFAM?
MicroMonsta?
I love the blofeld for arps, but it’s in similar territory with respect to pads.
Nord modular?
Microkorg?

Sounds like you need a second Digitone
If Elektron would just make that Digiwave that would be an awesome companion for well, everything!

Take an OT and you’ll have 3 digitone

You can get hum if you connect by USB,. there are ways around this, but I just don’t record when connected by USB!

Berringer CRAVE also worth a look

thats not what i’d expect from a device i would own to use it. (…“ways around it…don’t record when connected to usb…”) Batteries are empty after 2-3 h of use. Am happy i could return it to the shop.

combining the digitone with the digitakt was the result, couldnt be happier.

I have it powered via a USB PSU (no batteries), jut not plugged in to my PC (I donty buy hardware to edit on a computer!)- Never use USB midi if I can help it, have everything through a MidiXpress XT- I sequence the UNO via Midi with my OT, works great, no noise, super analog sound for the money, I am also sequencing a Model D, Prophet 8 Mother 32 etc and I often still go for the UNO sound!

Thanks for all the imputs! i feel like i need to research the modal Skulpt! it looks ( and sounds ) amazing ! and maybe more power and less gimicks over the microfreak

oh and budget is very low. as reason why not another DT, DN or OT

Blofeld might make a good synth partner for the DN! I think you can route 24 different voices on it

Or for low budget you can mesh the analog and digital and get an A4 mk1 for pretty cheap!
