Hi Marcos - when I try to send a pattern to the Digitone (page 6), it crashes immediately, whether it’s connected to the Digitone or not. I’m using iPad Pro 12.9" 2017 (2nd Gen), with iOS 14.4.

I use Collider and Fragments also and they work just fine, so I don’t believe it’s config issue on either my iPad or Elektron units.

Any ideas what the issue is please?

Wow. Just effing wow! Just installed today and messed around. Got a DK about three weeks ago. Such great starting places for all these sounds. A lot are just great without tweaking too!

Very cool patterns too! I love that conditional trigs happen!

Update 5.2:

  • Improved Randomization
  • Improved Kit Flavors and functions
  • Added Mono Kit Flavor
  • Added Custom Kit Flavor, which allows you to choose a base Kit Flavor and some functions you would like applied
  • Track Pads now display the Track’s Algorithm #

Having a few issues, maybe I’m doing something wrong?

  1. pressing the different sound types I.e. kick/perc/square/pad generates changes on the iPad only, nothing seems to get thru to the digitone.

The above 6 larger buttons seem to randomize thru to the Digi, and the smaller buttons below like algo, tighten etc also work.

  1. I cannot get the pattern generator to work, it shows up on the digitone as “pattern received” but nothing shows up.

How are you connecting the iPad to the DN? What iOS and DN OS version?

Lightning >Apple camera connection > usb

Both iPad and app are seemingly up to date.

And the Digitone OS? I’m going through the same setup and have no issues. The Kit Types (Pad, Strings, etc) use sysex and you should see “Kit Received” on the DN.

While I can’t imagine this isn’t mentioned somewhere in this thread, it’s quick long and I haven’t found the answer yet. Is there a way to move patterns around or relabel them in the app and then send that to the DN, kind of like Elk Herd for the Digitakt?

Question: Can notes generated be also P-locked randomnly? LIke Generate Locks values on a chosen parameter like SYN1 or SYN2 and so on… or it is there and I’m missing something? I think this feature is in the Cycles Tensor… maybe not

I never fully decrypted the Digitone Pattern Sysex, so I don’t support parameter p-locks at the moment

I haven’t looked into what’s involved to port to macOS…I’m assuming the most annoying thing would be to port the UI, since people expect the window to be scalable and it’s currently hardcoded for all of the different iPad resolutions. It’s something I’ll look into over the summer though.
