Harmonix - Digitone iOS App

Using iPad with CCK usb works fine for me. I am able to randomize Kits, Patterns, MFX etc…Try creating a new project on the DN and make sure the settings on the DN match what is in the Help Menu

Regarding all the buttons/functions i mentioned above?

If the DN shows « pattern received », shall it not get automatically populated?

Yeah it’s weird it says received and then nothing populates. Try a new project.

Ahhh so the red lines are recommended settings in the Help section? Also i don’t understand the sentence about the Master page parameters.

Required settings to keep everything in sync.

Elektron had assigned CC’s to the Master Page settings that were in conflict with other parameter CC’s. I submitted a bug report but don’t know if they ever fixed it.

On a new project (1.32A) and using the CCK everything seems to work fine on my end

Well, new project, i checked the Midi config again and again and the features i mentioned still don’t work for me.

When you hit the Get Kit top menu button, does the app notify you that it received the Kit? The Digitone should be selected in the app’s Input / Output ports.

Ok, so that was not obvious for me: indeed i had to select the DN in the Midi IN as well. I thought i had to select Harmonix here. Now the pattern generation is working!

MFX for instance can increase if i press MFX and FX up, but it won’t randomize.

If you press the MFX button it does indeed randomize the MFX (If the Rand side toggle is selected). I’m doing it right now :] …this randomizes the Delay / Reverb / Chorus settings so make sure the track you are testing with has those levels up.

Another thing to look out for: make sure the MIDI Channels for all Tracks / MFX on the DN match those in the app’s MIDI Menu.

I was spamming the MFX button watching the screen of the DN on the AMP 2/2 page but i can see it changes ALL the FX at once when i look at the different FX pages :man_facepalming:

Ok i guess everything is working now, thanks a lot for your kind and patient help. Maybe you could add some of these precious infos in the Help page for newbies like me

And if there’s a way to save Midi config i’ll take it since i don’t use standard channels assignment.

Thanks again and cheers!

A syntakt one would be awesome…

I really don’t like to ask independent developers for stuff, but oh my, I agree with this so much. Syntakt is such a capable machine. Different genres of percussion, bass, bells, so much…

@mekohler, absolutely zero pressure. just dreaming over here.

I can’t justify buying more gear at the moment. If Elektron sends me one I would make an app for it :]

Any chance of m1 Mac support eventually to run the iPad app?

Does anyone wish to create a GoFundMe? I would kick in some bucks to help purchase a Syntakt for development.

I appreciate the gesture, but that’s not necessary <3 . I just don’t have the motivation to do another app…to be honest I haven’t even looked at the Syntakt demos to see if I even like it. I’m slowly getting back into using my gear (turned on the RYTM last night for the first time in a while), so we’ll see!
