Help needed: iPad as effects + DT workflow

How do you route the audio?
For exampe, there are cool audio processing apps out there, but when I route the audio from DT to the iPad and back, I can hear the affected signal along with the original DT sound. Is there a way to hear only the affected signal while still monotoring from the DT? I was trying with PRE and POST for the usb audio but nothing changes? I’d appreciate your help with this:)

Wow, iPad seem to be amazing with DT, I spent an hour jamming with the Moog Filtatron app, applying Drive and delay and it sounded fantastic! Why would you need AH if you have something like this? (Yea I know, I had one and I sold it when moved to a new place)
