Help with Digitone Keys transport

Hi guys,
Using my Digitone Keys as my master keyboard with Ableton and have midi out to A4 and Rytm. I have my transport on the DNK set to send and receive midi.

When I press play in Ableton the the transport on the Digitone keys does not restart the pattern at step one unless I double tap stop twice. Then I press play in Ableton and it falls into sync. The Rytm and Rytm restart at one that’s what I’m trying to have happen. It’s getting really annoying having to double tap the stop every time i restart a bar when moving around the timeline in Live.

When it’s not synced to Ableton the transport restarts at 1 when stopped.

What am I missing? Everything seems to be setup correctly and prior to the DNK being my master I was using the OT the exact same way without issue and it worked rock solid with no issues.

TLDR: transport on DNK will not start at zero without pressing stop twice while working in Ableton. How to resolve?

Thanks!

That is the reason for not starting at zero, because in ableton your are restarting your sequence at different points. It is in sync with DN.

Depending on how you have things set up…
In ableton in midi options you might have the sync set to song instead of pattern…
This can cause problems with the start of the sequence

I know but I just want to be able to press play and the DN start from bar 1 like all the other gear does no matter where i’m at in the timeline. I had it working before but just can’t figure out why JUST the DN is not doing it?

Any other thoughts?

Are you using overbridge or regular midi sync… if it’s regular midi sync it could be what I said in previous post

Just regular sync. Not OB.

Oh shit, i misread your post. I switched to Pattern and it worked.

YOU ROCK! THANK YOU
