Whenever I copy and paste a pattern to a new bank, all of the changes I make to that new pattern affect the one I copied as well. Does anyone know how to turn this off so I may change each pattern individually?
Welcome to the forum. Can you describe what changes carry over to the old pattern when you change the new/copied pattern? Patterns are individual afaik. For example, changing tempo on one pattern doesn’t affect another/older pattern.
Any changes I make to the tracks will carry over, unless I change the instrument on the track. Today I made a new pattern with a different baseline, but when I played the original pattern it also had the new baseline. If I change the order of the tracks on the new pattern I do not have this problem. For example, if I were to swap the kick which is on track one and the bass which is on track two, then I could alter the bass line on the new pattern and it would not change the original. I have been doing this as a temporary workaround to my issue.
I’ve never known this to happen.
Could you provide step-by-step instructions so that I can attempt to reproduce this behaviour?
Yeah, this shouldn’t be happening. What firmware are you running on the Model:Samples? And it’s only when copying to a new bank, not in the same bank, right?
Edit: I can’t replicate this. I even tried Sample Locks to see if that was the issue. Like @echoicMalady said, if you can give a step by step, we can try to test it. I’m curious! Also, just to check. You are copying the pattern, not the track? They’re slightly different. Not that it should affect anything.
I updated the firmware and the problem seems to be fixed now. Thank you for the help.
Hello! Can anybody help me with “loop” issue
here is my script of using MS:
- focus on T1
- than pick up some sample from library
- loop mode + endless decay (no patterns, in that case i want to use it as a tape machine)
- push the T1 button and start playback (everything is just fine for that step)
- than focus on T2 + all the same (loop + decay + sample)
and the problem is when i push T2 to start my second endless loop i’ve got some issues with T1 playback.
Here is demonstration https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtaMjUd_iUk
I got lattest firmware (1.12). very upset for that bug, thanks for any help.
Alex.
That’s quite bizarre behaviour. It’s looks like a bug to me. It seems that the subsequent tracks after T1 are looping without even having the loop engaged on that track. I would test again with a fresh project, then raise a ticket with support at Elektron.se including the video so that they can see the issue clearly. (Also, welcome to the forum!)
I tried everything i could. Full reset of MS/ new project and etc, still have that issue. Will try to get in touch with support. Thank you!
