and hey, retrig and conditionals are ur friend anyways…and never forget about swing and timing shifts…
I generally like random lfo on volume and release.
But if you want have the total control make your own “16 level velocity” :resample your hats at different volume(you decide how many) then you chop it and play the slice as you want it.
For automation you don’t have to p.lock you can simply rec+play and when you tweak a parameter it will get recorded.
I generally use a delay on FX2, map the Send to Scene B and play with the crossfader for transition/build up.
Of course play everything unquantize
