Home Music Server?

Yeah, Plex looks pretty good too. I love the focus of things like Navidrome and MPD though, whereas Plex and a couple of others are media systems as opposed to just music. Small point though.

I recently upgraded from my old OMV server. Built a new one with better specs and a 12tb array on Unraid. I’m running NextCloud with DDNS to sync all my files from my phone and pc etc, as well as Plex for movies and stuff. I’ve been wanting to get away from Spotify so this thread is very relevant to my interests. Some good recommendations in here!

Did you stumble across that Beets tool for metadata, album art and lyrics etc. (and an enourmous amount of plugins for it!). It’s incredibly good at cleaning up your database automatically. Highly recommended if you don’t mind command-lineing.

Western Digital make a load of network attached storage (NAS) devices. It just an external hard drive with a network card. Put your files on it & share them, access everything in the house or outside.
