Hotkey for selecting all trigs

Hi! I have a question regarding Analog Four. I have a track with multiple drum elements (eg. clap and snare) loaded as sound locks. I’d like to change filter cutoff during performance for all trigs but I don’t have 16 fingers to click on them all at once. Maybe there’s a hotkey for selecting all trigs (e.g. FN+[TRIG 1]) or any plans to add such functionality?
P.S. I found similar topic but it’s from 2019, so I thought maybe such kind of functionality already added in new firmware? (I found nothing about it in manual though)

Hey, welcome to Elektronauts.

Let me see if I get your problem:

  • you want to sweep the filter while you’re playing back
  • you go to the filter page, and drop the cutoff frequency
  • but because you have sounds locked on the the track, the cutoff immediately jumps back to the value saved in the sound when the next locked one plays
  • so you figure you’ll just lock a new value for the cutoff live while its playing
  • but you don’t have enough fingers

I think live-adjusting locks while performing is probably the wrong way to go. Locks are there to tweak values from their defaults step-to-step as an easy way to movement and variety to sequenced tracks — not to add expression in a performance. There’s a mode for that: Performance Mode.

And, indeed, if you set up a performance macro to adjust filter cutoff, it will do what you want: adjust the “global” filter on the track overriding whatever settings are in the locked sounds.

But that’s the very tip of the performance mode iceberg! It’s honestly one of the most powerful parts of the A4 and is really worth diving deep into. I highly recommend you read section 9.3 of the manual and play around with the performance macros on some of the demo tracks. It will open your eyes!

Thanks a lot @jemmons! I previously tried that but didn’t fully understand what exactly it does. Now I see and that works!
