I had a small Eurorack setup for a few years and then bought a an OT to give me a bit more control and and effects. I then discovered that however hard I try I fucking hate sample management so replaced my OT with a Syntakt which I love. Recently however, my modular has grown quite large and seems to have pushed everything else off the desk.
I needed to read this thread.
I dove into some modular stuff a few years ago and decided I prefer hardware designed to work the way it does, specifically elektron boxes.
Lately I’ve had the fever for a second OT, and started to think I could ditch my RYTM for modular drums.
After hearing some Plonk and LXR I got to thinking I could have a small modular for minimal percussion and do all the sequencing from the OT’s.
Although I really do love the sounds modular offers, I know it’s not as easy as I wish it to be.
