How do I get MS and MC to work together?

Hi!

Can someone give me the easiest walkthrouh how to get MS and MC to work together? I need the easiest walkthrough on what cables/other gear I might need and how to set it up and the proper settings on MS and MC.

How I want it to be

…be aware of the fact that the digitone can host the digitakts audio output…
therefor u can hear all on the tones output sum…

this is not the case with the models…they only offer outputs…no inputs…
therefor u will need some kind of mixer / interface to monitor them both at once…

apart from that, the midi/sync question can be handled exactly the same way as in the digi’s example…

if ur computer allows u to adress two different class compliant input sources at once, u can sum up the models audio outputs via usb…

One difference on the model series is that you can plug a normal AUX cable into the midi I/o and get midi that way. So no need to use the dongles it comes with.

I sync my OP-Z and M:C this way.

Whoa I didn’t know this was possible. Thanks for the tip! Makes things much easier.

A 2 ch DJ mixer should be a fun way to make it work! There are pretty cheap decent 2 ch mixers out there:

https://www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/xone-23/ (analog VCF onboard)

https://www.reloop.com/reloop-rmx-10-bt

just a few example models that could work nicely

MIDI via aux cables of course!
