How do you dig for tracks / mixes?

I’ve always loved Villalobos’ Fabric 36

Recently I came across Michael Mayer’s Immer, which I have fallen in love with

The first thing I click on YT suggestions is only very superficially similar. Discogs recommendations are mostly just KOMPAKT compilations.

How do you find mixes or tracks within the same vein as something you want to explore more?

Check out mixcloud. Alot of producers that also dj put mixes on soundcloud.

I’ve found some good stuff through Spotify’s similar artists bit, or whatever it’s called.

When buying records I’ll often look to labels of stuff I like, they’ll often curate work based on some kind of taste. In fact you’ve just inspired me to go and have a look at what’s new in Ninja Tune land.

+1 for villalobos’ fabric mix.

I haven’t found a really good approach to dig more mixes of the same vibe. I guess you just have to dig a lot and listen louds. I find and collect DJ mixes mainly on soundcloud, NTS radio and resident advisor.
