How to change pattern with MIDI from external gear?

Is it possible to change patterns on my Model:Cycles from my external gear like a Launchpad Pro MKIII? If so, what kind of message do I need to send?

I built a 6 channel mixer template on the LPP to control volume of each track on the M:C. It works fantastic. It would be nice to build a template page where each pad would represent a different pattern.

MIDI program change messages 0ā€“95 selects pattern 1ā€“96 (A01ā€“F16) on the Model:Cycles.

I guess Iā€™m confused by the Program Change number and CC number. That they can both happen at the same time. I did figure out that it also needed to be turned on in the M:C menu.
