How to erase chromatic patterns?

Having fun recording chromatic lines, but I can’t figure out how to erase a bad take. (Apart from deleting the track.)

This is the quickest way I’ve found to deal with bad live takes and “keep going”

Hit REC+Play to enter Live Record mode
Start playing your buttons, hit the very last note wrong, go “Ahh shit!”
Press REC once to go into Step Record mode
Press FUNC+CLEAR to delete the sequence
Press REC+Play to back into Live Record mode
Rinse & Repeat - It’s a little cumbersome but once you get used to it it’s not too bad

I guess the main thing to remember is that you can bounce between Live Record & Step Record with REC (from live record) and REC+PLAY (from step record) to switch between the two modes, all while the sequencer is still playing. You don’t have to “exit” one mode first (I used to think you had to) - you can just go directly between the two.

You can jump back in to step recording mode, travel to the page where your bad notes are and either delete those trigs or adjust them to make them correct. I find this a little easier then constantly re-recording a take till I get it right. Although more often or not I record a few takes before I find one I like enough to keep and edit.

Thanks so much!
