How To Input A 2+ Note Octave

Hello,

I feel like I’m missing something obvious or this is an Elektron A4 idiosyncrasy. Using the onboard mini keyboard is there a way to input a 2+ note octave? I’ve tried scouring the manual but coming up empty. I know I can do the key hold and basically add something like C2 + D3 but I can’t figure out how to do a C2 + C3 without obviously releasing the key from the previous octave.

Thanks!

You can go to the note page, it will allow you to manually set the notes for each trig on the sequencer.
Go to the notes page, hold down the trig, and adjust.

I’m not sure if this the answer I’m looking for. I’m looking to set the notes of D2 + D3 on a single trig using the onboard keyboard.

The only note you can enter in twice on the keyboard at the same time is c. You could tune your oscillators up a whole step, or transpose the track.

I can only recommend a small keyboard such as the Keystep37 to go with the A4. It makes a few things such as this one a little bit easier.
You would have to hold a trig and press the right keys on your keyboard, pretty straightforward.

Otherwise, @Aksdnt is right. Set the note menu, or transpose.
Or enter your double C chord and detune the oscillator.

He’s right! I use the Novation Launchkey mini mk3 which works well and is similar width to A4.

Well, you can hold a trig, then hit the note on the mini keyboard, hold it too and then go up or down as many octaves as you like and press the next note.

You have two C notes on the keyboard, should be possible.
