How to reproduce an 808 kit with Analog Rytm MKII

That can sound a bit silly, but I’m struggling to get an 808 BD from my analog rytm. What would be the best approach and some tips to get a proper BD that sound exactly like the 808?

Use a sample?

Well that’s to easy. I don’t wanna use sample, I wanna use the machine’s engine.

Yeah I just realized this the a few days ago myself. Seriously, just turn the pitch down until it shakes the paint off the walls and/or gives you a headache. It’s got weapons-grade low end.

There are lots of tutorials on youtube how to make that BD sound. Also, if you use the search function here you’ll find a thread that will be helpful.

Roland should just buy Elektron at this point

I love the 808, but there’s so many other sounds out there, and in the AR….

RD-8s go for nothing, really nice to use that and free up Rytm for FM, samples, filter pings and so on
