Big Science is superb, it’s a lifelong favorite of mine. In ‘please kill me’ there’s a section on Laurie Anderson, she was good friends with William Burroughs, she was a performance artist & didn’t have any interest in doing any kind of recording. He persuaded her to do some recording & as a result I think it’s a really unique & striking album. Whilst I like what came after, there’s something really special about it, I think the following albums were more about music than the art.
I also love the fact she put on a concert for dogs about a decade ago
Naturestrip records has recently opened in the city. Of course it is located in a position with zero foot traffic and difficult to find even if you are looking for it: https://naturestrip.com/
Big Science is classic. I also like Mister Heartbreak - like almost any record with Adrian Belew on guitar. And from the more recent albums I love Homeland from 2010.
