I usually don’t turn my gear off

very lovely console

powered monitors shouldn’t be under any stress when not in use, that’s super uncommon. power surge maybe? was it the one closest to the outlet?

ha!

I really couldn’t say. It was a long time ago.

No newer consoles or monitors should suffer from power on / off.

The routing options are pretty insane. Very much a modular mixer. Designed also for theatre applications, I guess analog “surround sound” before that was a digital thing.

I only had the time to mix 1 track through it - routing outs from my soundcard + some extra drums from a Novation Drumstation + fx sends from the console. A 4/4 dub techno thing - will post link if there’s any interest.

Most of those gear screen does not have good management when idle on.
But appart from that there is no real risk, it will just be more used faster.

On your laptop it’s different, with ssd you will use more your hard drive because some process will write quite often on the ssd. And ssd will suffer in the end for no reason.
