Is it possible to trim a recorded sample?

Hey guys,

I never had the UW version of the Machinedrum. Recently, the thought of getting such came to my mind, so I began to wonder which things would be possible to do and which would not.

After having looked into the manual, a question came up:

When you sample into a RAM-Machine, can you trim the recorded material before saving it to ROM? I know the MD doesn’t have a visual editor like the OT offers, but are there some primitive features which can be used?

No.

The only control you have is over the start, end, and hold time in RAM- or ROM-playback.

To be fair, you can if you resample it.

Get it once, play it back and record that as a new sample with a different length.
