I you want to use that technique with OT, I definitely think the most simple and efficient is with its delay, with half tempo to get 1 bar delay. Assign delay’s parameters to crossfader, and play anything.
Here with play quantized slices played by hand and crossfader. 60 bpm instead of 120 to have 1 bar delay. Can be fun !
