Is there a way to turn on and off tracks without pressing the functions button?

I do live performances with Model Cycles and for me so far the biggest issue is you have to press function and a track at the same time to turn the track on/off. When you play this machine live you want to act fast and pressing the functions button narrows my capabilities. It would be so great to make on/off tracks with just pressing them. To audition tracks pressing function and the track makes more sense to me. Is it something I can change or there is nothing to do about it?

SOLVED: For those who absolutely must have a mute mode that doesn’t require the func button, there’s an easier way to get there than the method as explained in the video. It’s still not easy to get to (buried so deep it’s either an easter egg or a bug) but it DOESN’T need to be a new, unsaved pattern. I can’t take credit, someone told me on facebook. Hi, I would also like it if the tracks were automatically reactivated after a pattern change. This makes transition much easier. But the function should remain selectable if it is not desired. I’ve already suggested this to the support team. Of course, such an activation without pressing the FUNC button would be a start.
