Well, pretty low doesn’t mean it can reach the required note values. If you have no external tool to check which note values get sent, then try to record one of the low notes sent by the controller on a MIDI track and check if the record note is in the range of C0 through to G0 (corresponds to MIDI note value 0-7 on the Digitakt).
