Kickdrum synthesis & distortion

I’m doing a little crazy fun project here,working on a track that is based on a single bassdrum that’s constantly evolving into madness. Here is something similar:

I’m just wondering if these kind of sounds would be possible with analogue drum synthesis plus some (aka a lot of) distortion & compression:

Is there anyone here who can point me in the right direction?

do you have the AR yet? it can get pretty crazy with just compression and distortion on the synth engines
