Listening a specific step of the sequencer

Hi!

I just bought my first Elektron instrument, the Model:Cycles and I am trying to get used with the sequencer.
One thing I would like to do is to listen to a specific step of my sequence so that I can fine tune the parameters for this step (so that I don’t need to play the whole pattern and wait for my specific step to ear the changes I just made).
Is there a way to do that?

Thanks!

Hold the trigg for the step and press {YES}

on a model:cycles ? :wink:

What do you mean by {YES}?

There’s a [YES] button on a digitakt (and possibly others), but not on a model:cycles or model:samples.

I think @Uzinusa is answering for another machine … or making a joke ?

Sorry, no joke, just wrong machine. Apols.

You might find this technique useful. But if I were you, I’d experiment on a throwaway pattern first, it’s a while since I used this technique, and I don’t know if you can shorten the length to one step, which is what you seem to need.

Thanks! So I guess there is no easy way to do it. Probably not a good way to do things?
