Lock trigs and retrigs?

Why does a lock trig allow you to access the retrig menu?

  1. Place a lock trig with [FUNC] + Trig
  2. Hold the trig and [UP]

I’ve been trying to make it work for ratcheting the filter on a sustained sample, but I don’t think it
does anything.

Has anyone tried it?

Noticed it before, I just guessed it’s an oversight but maybe it’s useful in some situations. Not at home to check but: If you tap the lock trig to make it a ‘real’ note trig, does the retrig become active?

I haven’t tried but would it work, say, to retrograde the filter envelope? If set to make a short percussive sound, it could be useful. Or an lofi retriggering…
