Looking for bangin techno

Am I the only one who keeps reading the title of this topic as “Looking for bargain techno”?

Every single time.

I’ll bite.

Yo!

Just wanted to touch down and show my appreciation for all the replies here. Since finishing up my album last summer I’ve really struggled with finding any sort of motivation towards making any music at all.

Because of this thread that has changed.

I wanna make some tunes that bang. I’ve tried a few different avenues and thought up many concept ideas for my next project. Now, my vision is clear. Just make some f*ckin bangers!

So glad to hear how much the responses helped.

I wanted to add this a bit ago but forgot:

Cheers man

Long time lurker, signed up just to share this. I don’t think I have ever heard a better live techno set than this.

Ok…what is going on there?? At 37:55 he switches off the A4 - which seems to cause a hanging note on the Bass Bot, he then plays with the filter basically with the stuck note and then 50 secondd later he turns down the volume of the A4, turns the machine back on and it then seems to receive midi start from somewhere else. Why did he switch off the machine?

Here’s the timestamp

I imagine that in case of loss of master, the Bassbot keeps the note (bug exploit) then it restarts the A4 and it starts again. On the other hand, a stop on the A4 would have stopped the Bassbot sequence without a note held. Beautiful creative use out of time.

Yeah, seems like that’s what’s happening^^
At first I was kinda confused, because I thought it was possible to program a ‘drone’ on the Bass Bot (using tied notes in series, but actually never tried that).
Amazing technique to drone on the Bass Bot! and great set, too! Massive energy there…

A classic. “Lager, lager, lager!”

Underworld was probably my first exposure to techno, and a lot of it still holds up IMO.

These Brussels live versions are just awesome:

My wife ain’t really into what I’m doing per se. She does dabble and Underworld is where she goes. She always watches the live renditions of their offerings.
