Thinking about getting an M8 to use with my SP404 mk2 as a portable rig. Anybody using this duo? Can I easily sequence the SP404 with the M8 (trigger pads and patterns)? I get the feeling I could make some crazy tracks with these two machines.
The M8 is, among other things, a powerful external MIDI sequencer. So yes, it could handle the SP404 Mk2 no problem.
I just had a first dib at that last week, only sequenced a few samples of the SP with the M8 and got a smile on my face.
Can’t say much more for now.
Yeah I haven’t used an external sequencer with the SP yet. Think I’m gonna hook it up to my octatrack and see what results I get and go from there.
I’ve got young kids and I’ve found that the more portable my set up is the better. The m8 is a very tempting tool.
