A little problem that may have a thread (which I couldn’t find an answer to) : I have machine drum receiving midi clock and Midi thru to send to another gear. Will I be able to send midi notes to the other gear ( Waldorf rocket) via midi thru? or is that only to send clock? Thank you.
MIDI Thru (on any device, not just the MD) will pass through every MIDI message that arrives at the MIDI In. MIDI Thru does not send out any MIDI messages that are generated by the MD.
Try it and see!
The Waldorf is not receiving notes from the Yamaha which is the master clock and sending notes…
Is the Waldorf set to receive MIDI messages on the same channel number that the Yamaha is using to send?
Yes, it is. I did check by switching cables ( direct from the midi interface)
