Machinedrum sn

Hi community,

Is there any way to check the sn on an old machinedrum sp1-uw mkII ?

Thanks in advance

I would ask to HQ…maybe it could be on the mainboard…who knows

may I be curious why??

I’m no Sherlock Holmes but I reckon Gacleite bought a second hand MD, which came without a serial, so he’s sad because he can’t register it

…but good question: is the serial anywhere other than the sticker on the bottom or the box? Mainboard, firmware?

aw like that…

yeah, i had the good fortune that the previous owner of my monomachine was nice enough to unregister his machine when i bought it…

but in the case of a +drive upgrade… cant you get elektron-hq to make up a new serial-number for you… just for this “purpose” ??

would kinda be a silly reason not to get the +drive upgrade. just because some “tracking-number” was unreadable…

Good luck on your quest buddy… I hope you get it all like you want…

like i said:

bought mine second-hand… couldnt register, because previous owner did.
so i had to write him an email on ebay (few months after purchase)
he replied and was very helpfull… after that I could register it as mine.

so you might be a lucky monkey, if you write him/her on ebay.
explaining it… hoping he/she registered the machine, and still has to unregister it.
in that case, he can write down the serial… unregister it.
and you will have serial… and you can register it.

long shot… but it worked for me…

(and yes, ebay can be shitty… my x0xb0x had non-functional accent, and warpy pitch-knob… and my electribe-s came with twitchy fx2 knob) so… it can be tricky…
then again. who ever sold me the mono-machine was a triple-A service good guy

got my fingers crossed for ya buddy.
good luck
