Machinedrum TR 909 + TB 303 Kit. (Coming soon...)

They said it couldn’t be done…

They said it wouldn’t sound analog…

They said you must use samples…

Perhaps they were wrong?

Nice sounds punchy and this is on crappy desktop speakers…

Damn you…
I had finally convinced myself I didn’t need a MachineDrum…

Gorgeous sounds, congrats !

Now I just have to find a thousand bucks, grrrr

Great sounds!!

Is that noise floor really coming from the MD? Mine is pretty quiet.

It’s part of the emulation :-)… Though I’ve exaggerated it, for effect. A real 909 is not that noisey!!

This is punchy

Ah I see! Cool.
Great work.

punchy, nice rolls also
when will this be available, Justin
happy to beta test, donate or whatever

In 2014!!

I’m planning to do a set of Analog drum machines.

Here’s my MD 909 and MD TB-303 emulation. No samples, all MD synthesis.

sounding nice there
great when you are ready
maybe I will do a analog monomachinebatch, do you want to hook up in the new year and do a collab on a sh/jp/monopoly/juno collection for the mono

Sounds pretty good but just one critique - the noisefloor is a little gimmicky and kind of kills it for me.
Excellent work though on the emulation.

…now the second demo (noise floor is not as noticeable)…amazing!

me likey

Want… now!

MachineDrum cannot do 909 hats. Unbelievable that this essential sound is not possible. Surely we can have an optional 909 sample machine to replace the E12?

The 808 hats are also not up to scratch. They are great 606/cr-8000/KPR types though.

love it

Yes, it’s hard!

I can do a pretty faithful recreation of the Closed High Hat, Ride and Crash. The Open High Hats I’m probably going to concede on.

Quick Update:

I’ve improved the sound of the Rimshot. It’s very close now.

I’ve just uploaded the raw ROM samples from a TR-909 to the MDUW for the OH, HH, Ride and Crash. This is the digital data extracted from the sample roms located on 909 voice board.

It’s likely that i’ll make 3 variations of the 909 Kit available:

  1. NON UW (internal synthesis only)
  2. UW but (high hats samples only)
  3. UW (high hats, crash and ride samples only).

Nice Dude!

What machine have you used for TB303 sound?

Uploaded another demo with UW samples for the Hats, Ride and Cymbal.
(Samples are the digital data from the EPROM on the 909 voice board)

You can hear the updated Rimshot in this demo.

Roland-esque demo patterns.

I think I prefer the emulated closed high hat, ride and crash better!

Awesome.

prefer the 909 rom samples Justin, but both are stunning recreations and it is nice to have access to both kits
