I prefer to have my Overbridge plugins set to “No Sync”, and just control the BPM from my Elektron devices. But is it possible to force Ableton to sync to the BPM of my Elektron machines? To make the machines be the master tempo.
Yes you can have Ableton be slaved to the Elektron machine’s tempo. In the upper left corner of Ableton there’s a button labeled EXT, next to the BPM, that makes Ableton slave to an external tempo. Just make sure that you properly set up the midi sync in preferences.
