I saw someone using another elektron device, forget which now, but they mangled loads of parameters then hit a button and it returned the machine to ‘pre knob twiddle/mangle’.
Is this possible on the Digitone?
Thanks

Func and no
Ah thank you!
FUNC + YES is for Saving your Pattern has you want it to be originally before the mangling.
FUNC + NO is for Reloading your previously Saved Pattern after the mangling.
As an extra precaution, because the brain does weird things, make a nice base pattern and copy/save it to another available slot. Then play around and FUNC + NO your heart out.
If you accidentally FUNC + YES you can just copy the original pattern and overwrite
Good tip! Thanks
In addition to all the other great tips above, you might be thinking of the control all function. Hold the Midi button, turn the knobs and all of the tracks will have that parameter changed at the same time. Top tip: if you want some parameters to be unaffected by control all changes, then parameter lock them ahead of time
Ah yes I’m aware of that. A super cool function! Thanks man
Awesome. Have fun! Another great one is parameter page (Syn 1, Amp, etc) + Yes. All parameters on that page will be randomised. It’s a great way to begin a new pattern when inspiration is lacking
Damn! I love me a good randomise function! Thank you sir!
Life-saving tip, wish I knew that when I first my DN!
Great tips here! Love playing around with the randomise feature.
You can have several checkpoints to return to.
One can be saving a pattern, pasting on another and then being able to return to the first pattern.
Another can be saving the pattern, tweak or CTRL-ALL and then reloading the pattern.
Another one can be: save, tweak, copy, tweak, and then reload or paste when you want, two places to return to.
And don´t forget that the same way FUNC+NO works, it works for tracks and pages, so you can push a track+NO and only return to the sound of that track, keeping the new sounds of the rest. Of course you can copy that sound and pasting whenever you want. Or maybe only a page…
Quick question, when I press ‘SRC’ + ‘YES’ it randomises the source page, but how do I get it to randomise the source page for all sounds at the same time?
At the moment it seems to only randomise the track I’ve selected, say trig two, the snare, for example.
Tried holding ‘TRK’ at the same time but didn’t seem to do it.
Thanks in advance for any help
In short, you can’t. It’s not a feature. You could always send an email to feature-request@elektron.se
ah ok, thanks for the advice
