I thought, if set up correctly, I can connect these that I can use the matriarch keys for both synths. The idea was to select a track an my A4, and send keys to them, and on the cv track, cv goes back to matriarchZ
Is this a good idea? And do I have to use the auto channel for this? I am not successful with this yet, if you know it is possible and maybe also how, I would love to know more about this
I have both of these and have not tired this yet, but turn off local control on the Matri, connect all the CV outs on the A4 to the pitch in on the Matri (one per oscillator). Set the CV on the A4 to pitch (1 volt per octave). Each CV out is assigned to whatever track sequencer you want to use.
Tried this, but with no luck
I have CV output A out of A4 to Pitch in of oscillator 1 on Matriarch
I have A4 Type = pitchV/oct; note 1 = C5; Voltage 1 = 0,000 V; Note 2 = C6; Voltage 2 = 1.000V
I try to play the Matriarch with my keyboard of the A4, but it doesn’t work.
(didn’t turn off local control yet, but I am a little afraid to make too big steps)
no results, other than just plugging a cable into matriarch that is not connected somewhere else.
Sorry I missed a step. You need to trigger the envelopes on the Matri. You will need to send gates from the A4 to the Matriarch, into the trigger in for the amp and filter on the Matri. Use a mult to make a copy of that gate trigger and into the trigger in.
spend some time with pitch, value, clock and gate. Works like a dream, never had such an elektron control on my matriarch. amazing how the arp opens up the machine, and lfo-ing the filter frequency is just so nice. Have a great chrismas, @SeanBonham, and @paulito don’t hesitate, it’s so nice!
