i’m not sure what the specific enquiry is, but i’ve had mixed results, from a number of perspectives with OB in Max

Have you tried to load the AU and VST in vst~ ?

have you had any joy ? i found perseverance paid off ! but it is not without little gremlins here or there in Max fwiw

try the au and downgrade at your peril - not recommended !
no sound yet
but if you drag n drop the .component you get the envelope destination TUN which you cannot dial from the machine 
are you sure this isn’t a Max patch issue - show a picture or paste a textcopy of it if you’re not sure - as I said, it’s a bit flaky on either vst or au, but it does produce sound
