MD as slave in song mode

I have my MD slaved to my RS7000.

When I am in pattern mode, the MD reacts to the stop, rewind and play commands coming from my RS7k
But when I am in song mode, it only listens to stop and play. When I push rewind it doesn’t go to the first beat or pattern.
This is the first time I have used song mode. I’m also confused how to rewind to the beginning of the song using the MD controls. Pushing stop twice, doesn’t do it.

Not sure about the rewind not working in songmode, but on the md, the way to start over is to select the first sequence in the song, and hit enter.
You can jump around to any part of the song like this.
