MIDI controller for iPad that DOESN’T need power point?

Is it possible for a basic MIDI a keyboard/controller to be powered by the ipad, for a truly portable set up?

Alternatively, are there any decent battery operated MIDI keyboard/controllers that would serve this purpose?

Ideally I’d like to be able to jam in the park on my iOS apps/synths with something with keys.

Depends not only on the controller but also on what iPad you are using. My iPad Pro M1 with USB-C does work great with the Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 without any additional power supply.

There are some korg nano’s that are AAA battery powered and have Bluetooth, I think nano2 are even smaller and can be powered by iPad …

My Arturia Minilab Mk3 works fine with an Apple Camera Connection Kit (USB-A to Lightning). I have an older ipad - not pro. No batteries or other power supplies needed.

Read this as PowerPoint and my heart nearly stopped

Only opened the thread because I had to know what power point was being used for here.

Anyone bouncing stems from PowerPoint 365?

… oh and I’ll second that the korg nanokontrol/keys are tiny and get the job done

I’ve got a Yamaha Reface CP here that can be battery operated.

Would that work with an iPad/iOS if I had the right dongle?
