If I have a digitakt hooked up via midi to a computer, I can send midi notes by triggering the pads manually, but they are not sent while a patterning is playing and triggering them automatically. Is there a way to make this happen or is this a limitation?
One use case: I’d like to be able to hit record on my DAW, hit play on the digitakt and record a drum pattern in as MIDI, then be able to hit play on my DAW, and send the midi back to play the digitakt as a midi instrument. I can do all that just fine except the fact that midi is not sent from pattern playing.
Any tips or workarounds are appreciated!
