Midi Out -> Midi In for more modulation?

What if you connect a single Midi cable from Midi Out to Midi In on the digitone. Would it then be possible to use the four midi tracks to modulate the four synth tracks via CC values?

When writing this I’m on the OS 1.11_BETA1 (needed for Overbridge 2.0 Public Beta) and there are some issues setting the channel to send mididata on from a Midi track so I can’t try this idea myself (I should send a bug report I guess).

Can anyone try or verify?

For me one of the best features of the Digitakt and Digitone is how the midi loopback can be implemented. IMO this feature takes these machines to another level. And all you need is a cheap midi cable. For example I’m able to lfo the global delay settings to get some amazing effects as well as use two trig tracks (one midi and the other the audio track). It really adds an incredible amount to the already long list of modulation options. But yeah being able to modulate the global fx is awesome.

And can confirm it works fine on the OS 1.11_BETA1 as well (I set it up wrong when I first tried)
