MIDI Out not working?

My Model:Cycles doesn’t send any note data right out the box. I have checked all the global settings and I don’t see anything that should be stopping this. Am I doing something stupid? I am not new to MIDI…

Tried both USB MIDI to iPad (monitored via Midiflow) and a standard MIDI connection to my Behringer Neutron. The only MIDI data my iPad is picking up are CCs when I double press the stop key.

there’s a track setting per track called M.Out that needs to be enabled, it is off by default

I was confused as the “Thru” wasn’t working either but I see now it’s not a true “Thru”…
