Hi folks,
New Digitone user here. I am having trouble getting predictable results when I try to control the filter envelope of a sound. I would expect a higher velocity trigger to open the envelope more than a softer velocity trigger, but the results seem to be random. For example when I play a note softly, the envelope is often wide open. When I try to dial in the velocity precisely using the MIDI roll in Logic, the only thing that seems to be effected in a predictable way is the actual volume of the sound, not the envelope. What am I missing here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Paul
You can set the velocity modulations in the Settings > Sounds > Setup menu, you’re able to assign up to 4 destinations there.
Thanks very much for your response. That certainly allows me to open up the filter envelope with a high velocity trigger, but the overall effect is still random. When I play very softly, the filter envelope can be anywhere from muted and closed to wide open. To clarify, the sound I am editing is a modification of “favpad,” one of the preset sounds.
Actually, figured it out. Seems obvious now, but there was a slow LFO on the filter frequency that seemed to be affecting this. Thanks again
