Mini piano section not transmitting midi

the a4 mk2 “piano keyboard” section is not transmitting midi out. is it supposed to?

the sequencer trigs send midi fine, and I can set notes using the keyboard while holding a trig.
but as soon as I touch the mini piano section, all midi out stops, and when i release the wee keys, the seq trigs midi out starts up again.

is this normal behavior ?
shouldn’t i be able to play an external synth with that mini piano roll?

Global > Port Config > Keyboard Dest

You’ve probably got it set to [ Int ] when you want [ Int / Ext ]

Refer to the manual 12.5.2 PORT CONFIG pp56-57

Also, that notes entered on the keyboard take precedence over sequencer trigs is normal when the tracks are monophonic.

i have that setting proper already,
but, i just randomly changed the
Global/Port Config/ Output to ‘Track Channel’ and voila… gravy now it’s working.
