I record with a 1 bar pre roll but my first note always seems not to play back when I stop and play again.
It is lit red red on that step/trig and probability is 100%.
Why is this? Surely If I pressed it too early it shouldn’t light up red?
Is this user error somewhere?
It is possible that by hitting early you are not recording the note on, but you are recording after touch data which might make it light up. That has always been my problem as I tend to push the first note when recording and it gets cut off. One option on some devices is to set it to start recording when you hit the first note.
are you live recording that first note unquantized? check the micro-timing by holding the red trig and then right or left. if it is before the middle point is not going to sound.
