Thanks!
I love this so much. I am looking to collaborate with a saxophonist. Would love to give a go at that China Crisis, The Blue Nile sophisti-pop sound. Let me know if you are interested.
Breaking the rules, because there is more than Model:Cycles on my new EP, but for this project I always start with the M:C and then sweeten it in my DAW with percussion. Hope you enjoy!
Here’s my submission, I’m relatively new to the model cycles and put this slow jam together for Jamuary.
Just as crispy as your other ones
Thank you for checking it out. Really appreciate it!
This is the best-sounding M:C set/demo I’ve heard. You should really do a sound pack for it!
Edit: the second set you posted, also brilliant. All Cycles, no external processing? Craziness.
Thank you Donovan! That’s all Cycles, yes. Only DIY mastering in Ableton after the recording Very subtle tape saturation + limiter, thats all.
I think at least some of this album is “Model:Cycles only”?
That is correct, our collab album is made with the organelle M, Model:Cycles, and Digitakt. I still have some tapes left if you live in the US (dm me if interested!).
Tracks 1-5: Organelle M (performed by ship_man)
Tracks 6-7: Model:Cycles (performed by me)
Track 8: Model:Cycles + Digitakt (performed by me)
Track 9: Digitakt (performed by me)
Thanks for the support!

I finally got around to recording and uploading this track, as an act of some self-love on Valentine’s!
It’s a reworked/remixed mashup of Bad Religion’s song You (which you might know from THPS2) entirely on Model:Cycles, with some vocals from Greg Graffin and the Beatles on Model:Samples. Also some samples of THPS2 sound effects and some PO-20 Arcade chords coming in later. It’s all recorded in one take straight into my 4-track cassette deck, slightly hot, which is my Instant Mastering Chain
I’m curious what you think of this cover of You, in a style that I’d like to call pixelpunk.
That guy has posted some nice stuff this Jamuary.
Yooo guys and Girls nice to meet you. This Model Cycles is my first groovebox and i am in love. Love creating tunes and learning the device. Its a hell of a ride and its amazing that i found out this forum. The stuff you all make is awesome. Love all the different sounds coming from this machine.
I made my first video/soundcloud and i hope you like it. it starts out a bit slow/ambient but the end is Total energy. Its a batch of patterns blasted within 50 minutes. Going all kind of places.
Have a great weekend!
After using model:samples for more than one year I decided to try model:cycles also
so here is my first try. Some minimal groovy dub techno.
Love it
This is the Instrumental version of a cover of Chris Isaac’s Wicked Game for my project Bone Marimba (which is a collaboration between my wife and I). The vocal version is coming soon (she sings lead). This was made on the Elektron Model Cycles with a little bit of help from the Model Samples. Cheers.
Love the melody.
