My DAW recognizes MS as the audio interface via USB and selecting it is the only way I can get audio and midi input into the DAW from MS. However, what if my other devices are connected to a Focusrite interface? Is there a way to get all instruments into the DAW at the same time or can I only choose one or the other?

If you have a Mac, you can create an aggregate device to use both simultaneously. For PCs, I’m not too sure.

i just had the same question myself using Live on an older iMac,
using macOS it’s possible to build an aggregrate sound device which combines multiple hardware devices. it’s possible the process will be different on newer macs.
open AudioMIDI setup.
open Window, Show Audio Devices
bottom left corner, + , Create Aggregate Device
select all devices you want
then in Live, just select the new Aggregate Device as your sound input

Thank you! I’m one step closer. Now my other device doesn’t show up as an audio device in the Audio Midi set up. Only as a midi device
