I’m learning how to use multi map mode (very hard atm) but i wondered can i use multi map mode with the digitione sequencer keys and not an external midi keyboard?
Any help on how to do that or guides to setting this up would be great, i’ve been looking online and following stuff but just not quite got it yet.
On the A4 the mini-keys become active whilst in edit mode for MultiMap - a bit clunky, but it’s a crumb at least - whether this plays out on teh DN with its own multi use trigs etc is anyone’s guess - if it exposes the keys whilst in edit mode then you may be part way there
I have created a multi map of 4 drum sounds all playing on track 1.
I then live record my kick and snare in, but then when i live record my hi hat pattern in - 16th notes on every step, it just wipes out the kick and snare. Any ideas whats up here?
Track 1 has 5 voices enabled.
Each step can only contain up to four triggers (like a chord). So it’s expected behaviour that the overdubbed sequence will wipe out the other trigs if they fall on the same steps. The only way to get more things happening on each step it to record up to four notes together on that step. Note that they will share the same length, again, just like when recording chords on a synth track. For your situation you’ll need an extra track. One for kick/snare, another one for hats. Edit: or use grid mode to enter the 3 notes for kick, snare and hi-hat together on certain steps, but that defeats the point of manually recording the sounds, I know.
