New Teenage Engineering CM–15

I’d say no

unless the connectivity over usb (or multiple connections at same time) and the batteries is a must

This would be pretty useless for field recording (IMO) if it needs plugging in to another device to record- 2 devices that both need to be charged and an umbilical cord for field recording sounds unnecessarily complicated (and expensive)

I suspect it is aimed more at podcasters where the mike may be seen on video!

Strongly disagree, I think Op-1f+ Tx-6 + Op-z + Cm-15 would be a killer “field” setup, and very handy! To me the problem is that Op-1f is an “unique” instrument, Op-z is an “unique” instrument, Tx-6 it’s (almost) an “unique” instrument, a 1200 € microphone must be a very, very, very, very, very good microphone to ask for that price.

It’s not stereo so I’d rule it out immediately for that purpose, personally. Less important for percussive one-shots etc. but if I’m capturing rain, a storm or birds etc. then I want to capture that, it makes the sample a lot more rich.

More or less like a microphone into a guitar pedal…
