New user questions: new project / global quantize / PSU

I’ve been looking for an answer in the manual and searching with google and no luck. With it’s factory settings, which (if any) projects are empty and ready to start making my own patterns in? I am not so interested in playing or messing around with preset patterns, and will probably clear all of them, eventually, but for now I just want to find a blank canvas in which to start experimenting. I don’t know why the section in the manual about the data structure fails to explain this, but I have heard that the manual has many faults so I’ve searched for other sources (like an unofficial/better manual), but no luck so far. How do I select a project that contains no preset patterns and has an empty sound pool?

Another question, I cleared a pattern and built up some sequences on it, and I found myself wanting to turn on quantization for the whole pattern. The manual said it could be done on a certain settings page, but did not say how to get to that settings page. Can you help me out?

Also, my digitone was purchased in the US, but I will be living and using it in southeast Asia. Is there anything I need to be careful about when it comes to powering it? The power supply says 100v-240v so I think it’s okay, but I just want to make sure I know about any considerations.

I apologize if this info can already be found in this forum. I tried to look but was unsuccessful.

Welcome !

IMO it’s better to ask one question by thread, makes it easier for following users to find the I do… I took the liberty to rename the title so that it reflects the content of the thread better.

Another thing: use the search function of this forum, it brings decent results…

I hope this synth will bring you as much joy it brings me

  1. Just load a new project, then save. Digitone manual is rather well written imo, @eangman pays attention to details. Loading a project is on p. 57, save it as new then.

  2. Global quantization is addressed p. 32 of the manual

  3. PSU it’s the same whatever the place in the world. You should be safe.

Hit the settings button, navigate to project manager, scroll to one of the 126 empty project spaces, hit the right button and select “init into new”. Oh, and have fun.

Awesome, thank you! And apologies for the faux pas… it’s been a lot of information to take in getting started with this, and I’m very excited to get into it but I’ve had limited time lately, to research it as much as I’d like to.
