Hi all,
Just started tinkering with the M:C and easily got some sounds recorded into T1 and T2…tried to record(both grid and live ) into T3-T6 and nothing…eg selecting a tone preset for track 3 I can hear it when pressing the T3 button and in grid mode can hear the chromatic notes across all the bottom trigs…when I go to record, in either mode…I get nothing. In grid mode, I can get the trigs to stay lit when pressed but I get no sound …the sequencer advances through with no sound. When in live mode, the trigs on the bottom sound chromatically but whatever I play does not get recorded . Not sure what I’m doing wrong. On the latest 1.12 firmware
Check if these tracks are in Mute.
To unmute: press func+track

yes, most likely the mute mode. press and hold function, then the track pad, which you want to mute / unmute…
btw. the elektron mute mode only stops the sequencer from being triggered, thats why you still hear the sound when pressing a pad…
also you should read the manual, and or watch tutorial videos, or you will missing out with this machines 
Oh dear…yes indeed it was a mute thing…I can clearly see the mute state on my Digitone but not on the new M:C. Now I’m good to go…many thanks to you both for quick responses and an easy fix
